NE King Of The Ring Championship Series
Competition is open to male & female boxers, age 18 to 40 in the OPEN Elite divisions. Foreign athletes are eligible to participate in this tournament. Boxers registering as Elite must have ten (10) or more registered bouts. Walkovers and/or unopposed wins do not count toward the minimum bout rule. Space is limited to 4 participants per division and weight class and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are strongly encouraged to submit their registration early. ENTRY DEADLINE IS August: 8TH, 2019.
All contestants should be on-weight and prepared to box as of the first date of competition (date to be announced). Boxers will be notified a minimum of two days in advance of scheduled competition date. Weigh-ins will begin at 4:00pm and the scale will close at 7:00pm on competition dates. No general weigh-in is required for this tournament. A 2lb allowance will be given for both the Novice and Elite divisions.
USA BOXING PASSBOOK & MEDICAL FORM
All boxers are required to present a current, up-to-date, USA Boxing passbook PRIOR to weigh-ins and must have a medical form signed by a doctor (M.D. or D.O.) that indicates they are “fit to box” or “cleared to compete in competitive sports”. Boxers will NOT be permitted to register for USA Boxing Passbooks at weigh-ins.
Boxers are required to report to weigh-ins clean-shaven (no beards, mustaches, or goatees), with no jewelry on. Hair must be cut so as not to interfere with the vision of the boxer hair net must be worn if you have long hair. Sideburns are not permitted to extend below the earlobes. Boxers who do not report to the weigh-in properly groomed will not be permitted to weigh-in.
Boxers must wear a sleeveless athletic shirt of a different color from the waistband of the trunks.
Trunks must be loose fitting and must reach halfway down the thigh and no lower than the knees. The trunks must provide a waistband of a different color than the athletic shirt.
Competition-approved gloves will be provided at the shows. All other items, including tape, gauze, head guards, foul- proof cups, mouthpieces, competition uniform, sponges, water bottles, etc. must be provided by the participants. Headgear (with or without cheek protectors): must be USA Boxing or AIBA approved.
Mouthpieces: no red, shades of red (e.g., orange, pink), or partially red-colored mouthpieces may be worn.
The 2019 NEW ENGLAND KING OF THE RING Championship series are held under the sanction of USA Boxing and the authority of the State of New Hampshire Boxing Commission.
